About Me
Hi. I'm Alice.
I live somewhere with more books than shelf space, which is a situation I keep meaning to deal with and somehow never do. Most of them are on shelves. A growing number are in a lean on the floor by the bed, which is where books go once I've admitted I'm not going to start them this weekend.
This is where I put the things I find myself thinking about: reading, slow living, personal style, small rituals, the ordinary work of paying attention. I write when something feels worth writing down. Some pieces are short. Some go on longer than I meant them to. There's no schedule, and there isn't going to be one.
I've been online in one form or another for a long time, and I've drifted toward the quieter corners of it, the places where you can write at length without the feeling of being watched. This is one of those. I'm not performing here. Or I'm trying not to, which may be the most honest way to put it.
If something here lands for you, I'm glad. Stay as long as you like.
And if you'd like to know me a little better, you can come inside. That's where I spend most of my time, and where I put the things I keep off my socials.
